Welcome to 2014!!! We hope that you had a blessed and restful Christmas break, but now it is time to get going again! A new year brings new adventures and a fresh start. We are looking forward to being with your children and watching them grow. Thanks for being part of the preschool family.
The staff and I want to take a moment and thank you all for your good wishes and gifts during the Christmas season. You and your children gave us gifts for our tummies, minds, and hearts! Christmas is always such a fun time to be at preschool. The kids have a blast and we do too!
It is that time of year when the parents of our 4 and 5 year olds look up and say “Oh My Gosh, Kindergarten is almost here!” I remember that year before Daniel went to school – I was a basket case thinking that he “didn’t know enough”. Well, Moms and Dads, I’m here to tell you that Dan DID know enough! And so will your child. There are so many factors that indicate readiness. A preschool program that focuses only on academics is really missing the boat. A four year old who can add and subtract, but cannot play with other children is not a kid that is ready for “Big School”. Here at MSPC Preschool, we spend the first half of the year learning to be a good friend, how to use our words, how to listen and follow directions, and how to take care of our personal needs. That’s a LOT of learning!
