I am very excited about our first field trip of the year! On September 20 we will be visiting with our friends at the Kettle Creek Environmental Center. The naturalists there will be doing a program with our children that will explore the center using our 5 senses to discover the changing seasons. Wow! How great is that considering that we will be talking about our senses during our All About Me Month!
All children should meet at the Kettle Creek Environmental Center at 9:45AM. I will give you all directions to the center closer to the field trip date. All parents are invited to come with us on this trip. The program should last about one hour. There will be no regular preschool classes on September 20.
You should dress appropriately for the weather and exploring outside. Children and adults should wear comfortable clothing that will keep them warm and dry. This should include sturdy footwear.
The cost of the trip is $3.00 per child.
Just a quick word about field trips. We like to take the children “off-campus” as much as possible. Usually, we take one trip a month; this may vary slightly due to the availability of dates for certain trips. Because of the seat-belt laws, the staff will not be transporting any children. You may wish to car pool with other families for some outings. Field trips are great fun and teach the kids (and adults!) about the wonderful Pocono Mountains!
